The ICBDE 2025 Organizing Committee requires all registered participants to
independently verify their eligibility for entry into the People’s Republic
of China. We also recommend regularly checking the official website of the
Chinese embassy or consulate in your country for the latest updates on visa
and entry policies.
Important Reminders
• Valid Passport: Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months upon
entry.
• Apply for Visa in Advance: Visa applications may require considerable
processing time. We recommend confirming your travel plans and applying for
a visa as early as possible.
• Dynamic Entry Policies: Entry and transit policies may change over time.

I. Visa Requirements for Entry
China has mutual visa exemption agreements with certain countries. During
specific periods, citizens of some countries may enter China visa-free for
short stays. However, most foreign nationals are required to apply for a
visa before entering China. Please select the appropriate visa type based on
your nationality, passport type, purpose of visit, and planned duration of
stay. Common visa types include:
• M Visa: For business activities.
• F Visa: For exchanges, visits, or study tours.
II. China’s Visa-Free Entry Policies
As of November 2024, China’s visa-free entry policies are categorized as
follows:
1. Comprehensive Mutual Visa Exemptions
China has mutual visa exemption agreements for ordinary passports with the
following 24 countries:

2. Antigua and Barbuda
3. Bahamas
4. Barbados
5. Belarus
6. Bosnia and Herzegovina
7. Ecuador
8. Fiji
9. Grenada
10. Mauritius
11. Morocco
12. Serbia
13. Seychelles

15. Saint Lucia
16. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
17. Suriname
18. Tonga
19. Trinidad and Tobago

21. United Arab Emirates
22. Uruguay
23. Vanuatu
24. Thailand
China also offers visa-free entry for holders of diplomatic, official, or

2. Unilateral Visa-Free Entry
By December 31, 2025, citizens of the following countries may enter China
visa-free for short stays:

3. Direct Transit (240-Hour Transit Visa-Free Policy)
Citizens of 54 countries are eligible for 240-hour visa-free transit in

4. Holders of Valid APEC Business Travel Cards
Holders of valid APEC Business Travel Cards (including virtual cards from
May 1, 2023) may enter China visa-free.
5. Holders of a Permanent Residence Permit
Foreigners holding a valid Permanent Residence Permit for Foreigners issued
by China are eligible for visa-free entry.
III. Visa Invitation Letter
To request a visa invitation letter, please log in to the conference
registration page and click “Register.” After completing all required
information, you can download the invitation letter in the “Invitation
Letter” section.
Note: Confirmed travel details, including hotel reservations, must be
provided when applying for a visa.
